A Statement of Grunts, Gestures, and Glorious Refusals
We are the Order of Grunts and Gesticulations.
We are not the best.
We are not the brightest.
We are not the chosen few.
We are the other ones.
We are the men in the margins. The ones who didn’t get invited but showed up anyway.
We were too loud. Too quiet. Too strange. Too tired. Too hairy. Too honest.
Too much.
And so we built our own Order.
We Are Not Here to Climb
We do not seek advancement for its own sake.
We do not chase titles.
We do not network.
We do not align with brand values for visibility.
We do not optimize.
We grunt.
We nod.
We listen.
We fix things.
We hold the line.
That is our resume.
We Are Here to Belong
The Order is not a test. There are no exams, no applications, no referrals.
If you have ever:
- Held a friend’s broken appliance and said, “Yeah, I reckon I can fix this.”
- Mumbled your way through an awkward group activity
- Felt overwhelmed, confused, uncertain—and showed up anyway
…then you’re one of us.
You do not need to understand the rituals to begin.
The rituals will reveal themselves through shared confusion.
We Are Serious About What Matters
We laugh. But not at each other.
We joke. But not at the cost of courage.
We believe in honor, but not in uniforms.
In effort, but not in ego.
In doing right, not just being right.
We reject cruelty disguised as tradition.
We reject performance masquerading as connection.
We reject the soft tyranny of men who claim to lead but have never carried.
We Accept You, Even If You Don’t Know Why You’re Here
You may not understand us. That’s fine.
You may think we are a joke. We might be.
But when the lights go out, and the plan falls apart, and the polished men disappear—
You’ll find one of us there. Grunting. Thinking. Moving.
Doing what needs doing.
This is not for glory.
This is not for credit.
This is because someone has to.
And we are someone.
Order of Grunts and Gesticulations Ancient Brotherhood. Questionable Purpose.
